Our students have come from every corner of the state and from a wide range of backgrounds, but they have all shared a common desire – to care for others.

Meet Shanon, 4th year medical student from MU School of Medicine. She completed 4 months of rotations in the Northwest Missouri region through the MU Rural Track Program. Shanon was actively involved with AHEC during high school and college, participated in the pilot MU Rural Immersion program which was held in Chillicothe and is currently an AHEC Scholar.
