What We Do

Programs Offered at SEMO AHEC

Clinical Training

SEMO AHEC has one of the largest clinical training sites in SE Missouri working full time with three major osteopathic medical schools and intermittently with several other major medical schools. SEMO AHEC has five independent training sites scattered across its 22 counties.

Youth Programs

SEMO AHEC offers several programs to local middle and high school students who have an interest in the medical/health professions. Students engage with peers, guest speakers in the field, and hand-on activities such as dissections, suturing, DNA necklaces and more.

Community Engagement

SEMO AHEC is involved in several community initiatives that build local relationship, collaborate with medical and educational institutions, provide service to the region, and more. We strive to be a dedicated partner to our communities, students, medical professionals, educators, and neighbors alike.
