The Missouri Area Health Education Centers are hosting a one-day, virtual conference focusing on interprofessional education and practice.
This conference is designed to help participants build skills and increase knowledge centered around interprofessional education for students, improved practice communication for providers, and develop collaborative relationships between academic training settings and health care organizations.
Health professions students, academic faculty, community providers and healthcare administrators are encouraged to participate. Presentations align with the competencies in the Core Competencies of Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPEC, 2016).
Guest speakers will discuss current trends in interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPE/IPP), successful projects and outcomes seen in collaborative community health efforts, and ways in which academics can prepare students for practice by engaging practicing clinicians interested in interprofessional education (IPE) in a clinical setting.
CEU/CME credits will be offered.
Cost to attend to attend is $50. Student rate is $10.
