Equipping Students for a Lifetime of Success

 ACES is a comprehensive program that includes:

  • hands-on enrichment activities
  • online learning modules
  • service-learning projects
  • job shadowing and/or volunteering in health facilities
  • a comprehensive individual career plan that enables high school and undergraduate students to demonstrate a portfolio for health professions training that will set them apart

Students participating in ACES will have:

  • an increased awareness of a variety of healthcare careers 
  • are more focused on their goals
  • are the best prepared candidates for degree training in their chosen health career field

ACES students:

  • care about their community and the needs of underserved and rural Missourians
  • are focused on their health career goals
  • seek extracurricular experiences that help them understand the science and business of health care in the 21st century. 

Over the course of the program, students are expected to engage in over 200 hours of preparation which prepare students to demonstrate professionalism and a keen understanding of the foundations of health care workforce preparation.

Students interested in applying to the ACES program:

  • must display a strong interest in health care career exploration
  • demonstrate parental support to attend activities
  • have access to high speed internet at home, school or in the community
  • complete the jump start workshop and application requirements
  • show commitment to program expectations and advancement
